ABOUT D'SENT

Born Daryl Dwayne Harris, in Chicago, IL, it was always stated that he would be a special voice. The son of both a Baptist preacher and musician-songstress, D'Sent was surrounded by the art of music since childhood. He grew up in church and like most pk's (preacher kids), he functioned in just about every capacity there was within the church. This also included singing in the various choirs.

From his first solo in that choir at the age of 6 years old, D'Sent has been using his voice to bring healing ministry to the world. He started playing piano when he was 13 years old. D'Sent and a few of his relatives decided they would start a music group that would be bigger than New Addition. Unfortunately, that didn't work out as they had planned. However, he continued to hone his craft and write songs.

D'Sent has started and led a community choir, Inhabited Praise Chorale, produced several recordings for varying artists, performed across the country in stage plays and more. Aside from the music, D'Sent serves as an ordained Bishop, City Commisioner, Relationship Specialist Counselor, Faith-Based Coalition Director, celebrated Author and the list goes on and on.

D'Sent has two solo projects, "Empathy & Instructions", that are centered on relationship healing. Although songs are eclectically written to suit many styles, it's safer to say that the one genre of music he doesn't produce is traditional gospel. His music can be described as spiritual and meaningful. His intent in writing is always to inspire, educate and heal. D'Sent music is an artist of the future, today.
